Millions More Galaxy Phones Gain One UI 9 Tests

Samsung’s update machine is moving faster than many users expect. One UI 9 testing has widened again, pulling millions more Galaxy phones into the free-upgrade queue while keeping the rollout sequence tightly controlled by hardware tiers and carrier validation.

The focus now skews toward recent flagships and upper midrange devices. Galaxy S24, S23 and S22 families, along with Fold and Flip models from similar generations, sit in the core test pool where Samsung’s firmware engineers measure kernel stability, GPU driver behavior and modem firmware interoperability against Android’s compatibility test suite. Galaxy A-series bestsellers trail close behind in staggered batches, limited first to unlocked units before carrier-specific builds pass radio and emergency-calling checks.
What matters more than the growing device list is Samsung’s strategy. By reusing a common One UI 9 codebase across Exynos and Snapdragon variants, the company tightens its update cadence, cuts QA duplication and keeps security patch integration near the top of the Android ecosystem. Earlier waves already landed on the newest S and Fold lines, while this week’s additions signal that mass-market Galaxy owners are now edging into the on-deck circle for the same upgrade.
