According to supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the new top-tier model is expected to debut with sharply limited quantities, and early orders could ship later than other iPhone variants, signaling a tightly managed rollout rather than a mass-market push.
This constraint looks less like a surprise and more like a calculated positioning move. Kuo points to supply chain checks indicating that critical Ultra components, including advanced camera modules and high-end display parts, remain in short supply, while assembly yields for the new configuration lag behind the more mature Pro line, capping initial production capacity from the start.
What stands out is how clearly this scarcity reinforces Apple’s product hierarchy.
