XM Cyber opens macOS and OCI attack-path tools

Open-source code now carries XM Cyber’s latest argument: exposure management is moving closer to the endpoint and the cloud console. Announced from Black Hat USA, the company’s new tools focus on hunting attack paths across macOS devices and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, extending its existing exposure management stack into parts of the enterprise that often sit outside routine red-team coverage.
What XM Cyber is really signaling is that attack-path analysis should not stop at Windows fleets or a single hyperscaler. By releasing macOS-focused tooling and an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure hunter under an open-source license, the vendor is turning pieces of its attack graph and continuous threat exposure management model into community assets, giving defenders raw access to collection logic rather than a sealed product interface.
The move also stresses a blunt point: hybrid environments are now too dense for manual enumeration of misconfigurations and lateral-movement routes. With these tools, security teams can plug into existing CI/CD pipelines and security orchestration systems, use graph-based correlation to map exposures across identity, network, and storage layers, then feed that data back into closed-loop remediation programs or external attack surface management platforms.
