Atlas Antibodies has introduced AtlasPlex, a ready-to-use multiplex immunohistochemistry kit that enables researchers to build three- or five-plex panels on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue, with custom five-plex IHC completed in a single day. The bottleneck shrinks.
The real shift is modularity. AtlasPlex behaves like a routing layer for multiplex immunohistochemistry: the scientific work remains antibody-antigen binding in FFPE sections, yet researchers can select from more than 17,000 IHC-validated antibodies spanning over 12,000 human genes instead of accepting a preset panel. This is not a black box. Antigen retrieval, epitope access, and tissue morphology still decide whether a stain earns trust.
Speed is the wager. A same-day result will not erase validation, controls, or interpretation, but it can turn panel construction from a calendar problem into an experimental decision. That matters when scarce tissue must answer several biological questions at once.
