AGON Pushes Gaming to 1050Hz
2026-10-02
1050Hz redraws the contest before most displays finish a thought. AGON's AGP257FT arrives with an overclocked refresh ceiling, pairing it with a 0.1ms MPRT claim and NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible operation. This is no minor spec bump; it is a bid to make screen latency a less visible opponent.
The real wager is motion clarity. MPRT, or moving picture response time, measures perceived blur during moving imagery, while refresh rate governs how often the panel presents a frame; neither metric alone describes every source of delay. In temporal sampling, the display behaves less like a cinema shutter and more like a packet switch, releasing visual updates in tight intervals. The Oxide panel anchors that pitch. Its oxide thin-film transistor architecture is built for rapid, stable driving, though final feel still depends on input lag, frame pacing, and game engine output.
Comfort cannot be an afterthought. AGON also includes eye-comfort technologies, a sensible concession when high-frame-rate sessions turn a monitor into the longest-running device on a desk. The ceiling is now conspicuous: once displays cross four figures in hertz, competitive advantage shifts toward the full signal chain, where every microsecond has somewhere to hide.
